Mariah Carey "The Elusive Chanteuse” Tour

On the heels of the most critically acclaimed album of her career, ‘Me. I am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse,’ the best-selling female artist of all time, MARIAH CAREY, has confirmed Australian dates, extending her previously announced “The Elusive Chanteuse Show” world tour.

Live Nation are thrilled to announce that Nathaniel will be the support act on the Australian leg of Mariah Carey’s “The Elusive Chanteuse Show” world tour.

Mariah Carey will tour Australia in just over a month.

The five-time Grammy Award-winning songstress has extended her The Elusive Chanteuse Show world tour to include a national tour Down Under - her first in more than 15 years.

Fans in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney will have a chance to see Carey perform live, while she'll also do winery shows at A Day on the Green in the Yarra Valley and Mount Cotton, near Brisbane.

Carey’s set list will be an exciting mix of her biggest hits, fan-favourite album cuts, never-before-performed selections from her #1 R&B Album “Me. I am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse” and many more surprises! 

“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans,” says Carey. “I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!”

Carey last visited Australia for three east coast shows in January 2013.

But the highest-selling female artist of all time hasn't performed a national tour since her Butterfly world tour in 1998.

Last year, the 44-year-old was joined in Australia by her toddler twins Monroe and Moroccan and her actor and comedian husband Nick Cannon.

The couple, who married in 2008, recently split.

Carey will kick off her world tour in Japan on October 4. No further dates have been announced after the Australian leg.

"I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans," Carey said of the tour in a statement released on Thursday.

"I can't stop writing songs so don't be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city."

Carey's latest album Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse has been a critical success, but sales since its release in May have been unspectacular.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on September 26 at 9am (AEST).

“Great location & friendly staff”

We have stayed here many times. The location is great as it is close to the city and to the airport.
The rooms are always clean and reasonably large. There is free onsite parking which is always a huge benefit when you are travelling. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant at the hotel. There is also a shopping centre 5 min drive down the road (South Perth) with restaurants and fast food close by or Vic Park offers many food choices

Room Tip: The river side rooms offer a beautiful view of the river however when you are on the other side you get views of the hills. This side is slightly noisier than the river.

Rumours of a return tour have been running hot since the release of his latest studio offering late last year, and now Chugg Entertainment can proudly confirm that the rumours are true. Few artists can boast that they’ve sold 55 million albums globally, but Robbie can.

Great position with some fabulous views of the city and Swan River. Great service from booking in to booking out. Good food and big rooms with lots of extras. Within walking distance of river front restaurants and south perth.

“Great stay”

This was my 2nd stay at the Metro and have been impressed both times.
The Hotel is in a good location in South Perth being 15min from airport, 10min from Perth CBD and easy 20-25min from Fremantle, also easy access to Kwinana freeway to head north or south of Perth. Attractions within easy drive are Perth Zoo, Kings Park. The Metro has been here longer than I can remember but has undergone renovation to modernise the rooms and facilities. Check in at reception was smooth and easy with great, freindly staff.
I stayed in a Superior River View room which provides, as you would expect by the name, a good view of the river and Perth CBD which looks great at night. The room was very clean, spacious with a very comfortable king(?) bed. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge are provided.
I did not eat at the restuarant but did have both evening meal and breakfast from room service. I could not fault the food. It was cooked well, good serving size and was delivered in a timely manner.
I found all staff from reception to service to houskeeping to be very freindly and professional.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: The River View rooms are certainly the best as beside the view they are also on the north side
